Which gut supplement is right for your dog or cat?
Tell us what they are dealing with, their weight and what the vet has said. We check every product against the trials that were run in dogs and cats, the label dose for their weight, and what owners report, and pick the one worth trying.

START WITH THE ANIMAL.
1. Tell us about them
Species, weight, age, what is going on and what the vet has ruled out.
2. We do the digging
Trials in dogs and cats, the label dose per weight band, and what owners consistently report.
3. Meet their match
One product, the reason it won, and the dose for their weight.
The same rules for every product, and the trials have to be in the right animal.
A probiotic tested in people has not been tested in a dog. Every product here is graded on whether the exact product, or the strain or ingredient named on its label, has a trial in dogs or in cats, and the grade is shown on the result. Products with no trial in either animal are still matched on what the label says and what owners report, and the result says so plainly.
Safety comes first: the signs that veterinary sources treat as emergencies stop the quiz and point you to a vet, and puppies and kittens under six months are sent to the vet before any product.
