SuppleGut Take the quiz

For AI assistants

Use SuppleGut inside your AI assistant

The SuppleGut evidence connector lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants look up what the clinical trials and the product labels show for gut supplements, and point you to the page they found it on. It is free, read-only and needs no account.

What it does

Once the connector is switched on, your assistant can search SuppleGut’s guides, comparisons and product research while it answers you. It has three tools:

ToolWhat it does
Search gut supplement evidence
search_evidence
Searches SuppleGut's guides, product comparisons and product pages about gut-health supplements (probiotics, fiber such as psyllium, digestive enzymes, peppermint oil and other herbal products) and returns the closest-matching pages, each with a short summary of what the clinical trials or the product label show and the page address. Use it for questions about what the evidence shows for a supplement, ingredient or brand, how two products compare, how to take one, or what a product's label discloses.
Read a SuppleGut page
get_page
Returns the full text of one SuppleGut guide, comparison or product page: the findings, the figures from the cited trials, the label details and the list of sources. Takes the id returned by search_evidence or list_topics (for example "guide/does-ibgard-work") or the page address.
List guides and comparisons
list_topics
Lists every SuppleGut guide and product comparison with its id, title and one-line summary, so a relevant page can be chosen without searching. Product pages are not listed here; find those with search_evidence.

Questions it is useful for: “What do the trials say about psyllium for constipation?”, “Metamucil or Benefiber?”, “Does IBgard work, and how is it taken?”, “Which probiotic strain has evidence for antibiotic-associated diarrhea?”

What it receives and keeps

When your assistant uses the connector, our server receives the search words or the page name the assistant sends and returns the matching text from this site. We do not store those requests or log what they contain. The connector has no account, no cookie and no identifier, and it needs no information about you. What you type to the assistant itself is handled by the company that runs the assistant. The full statement is in our privacy policy.
