Those are the themes that recur across the reviews. Moderate review confidence — Amazon shows 4.3 from 2,858 independent ratings, but the brand’s own Okendo widget (4.7 from 999) flags 705 reviews as incentivized, and Trustpilot’s 3.4 from 51 is for the whole brand.
Why it might work
The 16 strains are Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species that are thought to add to the gut’s own populations while taken; the delayed-release capsule is meant to carry them past stomach acid. Inulin and FOS are fibers that gut bacteria ferment, which the brand says feeds the probiotics, but 94 mg is small next to the grams used in studies, and fermenting fibers can themselves cause gas in some people. Different strains have been tested for different problems, and a result for one strain does not carry to another. The label does not let you check how much of each strain is in the capsule or how many are alive at expiry.
What the research supports
No trial of this product was found. The label names 16 strains by code, and one of them, B. lactis HN019, failed to beat placebo for constipation in two trials (229 adults at 4.7 to 7 billion CFU a day over 8 weeks, and 228 adults at 1 or 10 billion over 28 days), though the page lists constipation relief among its aims. A 2023 review of 82 trials in 10,332 adults with IBS rated the certainty of benefit from combination probiotics as very low, and a 2022 review of constipation trials found a benefit for B. lactis alone but not for probiotic mixtures. The 94 mg prebiotic blend is far below the 10 g a day that raised bifidobacteria in a dose-response trial.
What the label discloses
Every strain has a code, which lets a reader look each one up, but the 55 billion CFU is a single figure for the blend, stated at time of manufacture rather than expiry, with no per-strain counts. The capsule is delayed release and shelf stable. The brand says every ingredient is third-party tested at a cGMP facility but names no laboratory and posts no certificate.
Who this tends to suit
We match this product to people reporting bloating, gas, irregular bowel habits, constipation and general abdominal discomfort. It fits someone whose priority is day-to-day comfort, a steady daily routine or regularity. Whether it is the best fit for you depends on the rest of your answers — what you have already tried, what format you will take, and anything that has to be ruled out.
Where it may not fit
The label supports gluten-free, dairy-free and no added sweeteners. We flag this product for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding or taking prescription medication, and the quiz removes it rather than recommending it in those cases. That is a caution about who should be deciding, not a claim about the product. A capsule only works if you will take it once a day, every day.
Side effects and what to be aware of
About 9% of Amazon ratings are one or two stars. Amazon’s summary shows 100 negative mentions of 135 on value and 24 negative of 26 on side effects, including gas, bloating and constipation, and several reviewers object to the change from a glass to a plastic bottle. The brand’s own widget flags 705 of its 999 reviews as incentivized. The label advises consulting a health care professional if pregnant, nursing or with a medical condition, and the brand’s footer advises pregnant or nursing women to avoid its products.
Common questions
Does Stonehenge Health Dynamic Biotics work?
No trial of this product was found. One of its 16 strains, B. lactis HN019, did not beat placebo for constipation in two trials of 229 and 228 adults, and a 2023 review of 82 trials in IBS rated the certainty of benefit from combination probiotics as very low. On Amazon, 69% of 2,858 ratings are five-star and 254 of 336 effectiveness mentions are positive.
Is Dynamic Biotics safe, and what are the side effects?
The label advises talking to a health care professional first if you are pregnant, nursing or have a medical condition, and the brand’s footer advises pregnant or nursing women to avoid its products. On Amazon, 24 of 26 side-effect mentions are negative, including gas, bloating, constipation and diarrhea, and one brand-site reviewer stopped after three doses because of cramps and pain. The brand says there are no known side effects and to take no more than one capsule a day.
How much does Dynamic Biotics cost?
A 30-capsule bottle is a 30-day supply. On Amazon it is $64.95, or $2.17 a day, and $58.45 with Subscribe & Save; the brand site charges $54.95 ($1.83 a day) or $41.21 a bottle ($1.37 a day) on a monthly subscription. Amazon value mentions are 100 negative of 135.
Dynamic Biotics vs Florastor or Align: how do they differ?
Dynamic Biotics lists 16 coded strains and 55 billion CFU at manufacture plus 94 mg of prebiotic fiber, in one delayed-release capsule a day. Florastor is a yeast probiotic and Align is built around one strain, and the brand’s own comparison table names both, so the products differ in kind rather than only in strain count. No trial compares them, and Dynamic Biotics has no trial of its own formula.
Can you cancel Stonehenge Health and get a refund?
The brand states a 90-day guarantee that covers opened bottles, with refunds prorated by the items returned and all bottles sent back for a full refund, and it says subscriptions can be paused, changed or canceled. Brand-site reviewers include some who say cancellation had to be done by phone or that a return went unanswered, and others who say a cancellation was refunded within hours; Trustpilot (3.4 from 51, whole brand) lists cancellation as the most common complaint. Amazon purchases are non-returnable unless damaged.
