Does Lemme Debloat work? What is in the gummy and what the trials say

Quick answer

Does Lemme Debloat work? Nothing has tested the gummy itself. The closest evidence is a four-week placebo-controlled trial of one of its two strains, Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, in 70 adults with functional gas and bloating: the indigestion score fell from 8.91 to 3.06 on the strain against 9.42 to 8.43 on placebo. That trial used 2 billion spores a day, and the gummy label prints no count, only 44 mg for both strains together. Reviewers split: 76% of Amazon ratings are five-star, and a minority report no effect, constipation or more bloating.

Lemme Debloat Gummies are a once-a-day blackberry gummy with two spore-forming Bacillus probiotic strains and a prebiotic fiber, sold for occasional bloating and gas. What sets them apart from the probiotic on the next shelf is that both strains carry strain codes with trials of their own, while the gummy as a whole has none. This page sets out what is on the label, what the strain trials found, how it is taken, and where the reviews split.

What Lemme Debloat is, and what it is not

Two gummies are one serving, and a 60-count bottle is 30 servings. Each serving carries 80 mg of xylooligosaccharides (XOS) and a 44 mg Digestive Probiotic Blend of Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 (sold as LactoSpore) and Bacillus subtilis DE111. The two strains share one blend weight; the label prints no per-strain amount and no CFU count. The brand’s page text gives the blend as 55 mg, which does not match the 44 mg on the label image. The rest is 15 calories, 3 g of added sugar, and a pectin base with tapioca syrup, cane sugar, citric acid, natural flavors and coconut oil.

The gummy contains no digestive enzymes, and the brand’s own page says so. Lemme sells a separate Debloat capsule that does contain them, covered below. We read no ginger, lemon balm, fennel or peppermint on any Debloat label or page.

The trial of the gummy itself

There isn’t one. We searched PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov and found no study of a Lemme product, and none that combined the two strains. The brand’s page describes its evidence as strain-level research rather than a trial of the finished formula. That is the accurate way to read everything that follows.

The evidence for the ingredients

The closest trial is of the LactoSpore strain alone. In a multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 70 adults with functional gas and bloating took 2 billion spores a day for four weeks. Among the 66 who finished, the GSRS indigestion score fell from 8.91 to 3.06 on the strain (P<.001) and from 9.42 to 8.43 on placebo (not significant, P=.11); the global evaluation rose from 3.0 to 9.0 against 3.0 to 4.0; no adverse events were reported (Majeed et al., Medicine, 2023). The same strain was studied in 36 patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS at 2 billion CFU a day for 90 days, where bloating, abdominal pain and stool frequency fell more than on placebo (p<0.01). A network meta-analysis of 81 IBS trials (9,253 people) ranked MTCC 5856 among the best for abdominal pain, with a SUCRA score of 96.9%; that is an IBS finding, not one about occasional bloating (Xie et al., Nutrients, 2023).

The DE111 evidence is mostly not about bloating. A pilot trial in healthy adults found more anti-inflammatory immune cell populations after cells were stimulated in the lab, and reported that overall perceived gut health and the microbiota were largely unaffected; the authors noted it may have been underpowered. A study of 11 people with ileostomies found DE111 spores and germinated cells in the ileum three to eight hours after a dose. We found no DE111 trial with bloating or gas as its main outcome.

The XOS dose is small. The 21-day crossover trial of XOS used 8 g a day, which raised bifidobacteria but did not change bloating, abdominal pain or flatulence; the gummy has 80 mg, one-hundredth of that.

Every LactoSpore trial above used 2 billion CFU of that strain alone. The gummy label gives 44 mg for two strains and no count, so a reader cannot tell whether it matches. The capsule label prints 3 billion CFU for the two strains together, so each is below 3 billion with the split unstated.

How to take Lemme Debloat

The brand’s directions are two gummies once a day, or as a physician recommends, with no specific meal timing. The label warns that gummies can be a choking hazard. The capsules are two a day, preferably before or with a meal. The trial that measured bloating ran four weeks, so a month is the span the evidence covers; reviewers who report a benefit often describe it within days and say they notice when they skip a dose.

Side effects and who should not take it

The label advises consulting a physician if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition. The brand page adds that persistent or severe bloating, abdominal pain, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, blood in the stool or significant bowel changes should be medically evaluated, and that the product is not intended to treat IBS, SIBO, IBD, celiac disease or food intolerance. The facility statement lists soy, dairy, eggs, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, fish and shellfish; there is no contains statement. Reviewers who stopped describe constipation, reflux, constant burping, stomach pain, or more bloating than before.

What the reviews say

The brand’s own site shows 4.74 from 2,579 reviews (86% five-star). Target shows 4.47 from 2,056 ratings, but 346 of the 400 most recent displayed reviews are syndicated from the brand’s own collection, so those two are largely one sample; on Target 58% of those asked would recommend it, and its effectiveness average is 3.3 out of 5. The independent pools are Amazon, 4.4 from 3,622 ratings (76% five-star, 6% one-star) and Walmart, 4.6 from 1,423. Trustpilot’s 4.4 from 191 covers the whole brand.

The recurring praise is less bloating within days, a blackberry taste people like, and regularity without a harsh feel. The recurring complaints are no effect after weeks or months, early benefit that faded on the second bottle, stomach effects, and cost compared with ordinary probiotics.

The subscription and refund terms

The brand’s refund page says it does not offer returns or exchanges. Subscribe & Save takes 15% off ($4.50 per delivery) on 4-, 8- or 12-week plans, and we could not find whether the discount holds after the first order. Single bottles are sold at Target and Walmart. We found no clear billing-complaint pattern: a Trustpilot search for subscriptions returned six reviews, five positive and one about cancellation. A law firm posted a notice in June 2025 saying it was investigating the marketing of several Lemme products including the Debloat Gummies; as we read it, that was a solicitation and not a filed case.

Who Lemme Debloat is for

If the aim is a digestive enzyme with a meal, the capsule version is the one with enzymes, and enzymes against probiotics for bloating sets out which problem each addresses. If you want the CFU on the label, the CFU guide covers the numbers, and the bloating guide starts from the cause. The product page is Lemme Debloat Gummies.

Cost

One bottle is $30.00 on the brand site, which is $1.00 a day; $29.99 at Target and $29.97 at Walmart; and between $29.99 and $31.91 on Amazon. The 15% subscription price is $25.50 ($0.85 a day), and the two- and three-packs are $55.00 and $80.00 ($0.89 a day for the three-pack). The capsules are $30 on the brand site and $20.99 on Amazon.

Common questions

Does Lemme Debloat work for bloating?

No trial of the finished gummy was found. One of its two strains, Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, cut an indigestion score from 8.91 to 3.06 against 9.42 to 8.43 on placebo in 70 adults with functional gas and bloating, at 2 billion spores a day for four weeks. The gummy label gives 44 mg for both strains together and no CFU, so it cannot be checked against that dose.

What is in Lemme Debloat Gummies?

Two gummies contain 80 mg of xylooligosaccharides (XOS, a prebiotic fiber) and a 44 mg blend of two Bacillus strains: B. coagulans MTCC 5856 (LactoSpore) and B. subtilis DE111. There are no digestive enzymes in the gummy, 15 calories and 3 g of added sugar per serving, and a pectin base with tapioca syrup and cane sugar.

Lemme Debloat gummies vs capsules: what is the difference?

The capsules hold the same two strains (3 billion CFU combined, 30 mg) plus a five-enzyme blend of 100 mg (amylase, lactase, lipase, cellulase, protease) and 100 mg of XOS, and the brand says to take them before or with a meal. The gummies have no enzymes and 80 mg of XOS. Both are two a day, 30 servings a bottle, and about $30 on the brand site.

What are the side effects of Lemme Debloat?

The label lists none beyond a choking-hazard warning for gummies and advice to consult a physician if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition. A minority of reviewers on Target and the brand site report constipation, gas, reflux, burping or more bloating after starting. These are individual reports, and the brand page says persistent or severe bloating, pain or blood in the stool should be medically evaluated.

How do you take Lemme Debloat, and how long does it take?

Two gummies once a day, with no set meal time according to the brand. Reviewers who report a benefit often describe it within days, and some say they notice when they miss a dose. The LactoSpore trial that measured bloating ran four weeks, which is the length of evidence behind the main strain.

Can you return Lemme Debloat?

The brand’s refund page says it does not offer returns or exchanges on orders, and product problems go to its support email. Target and Walmart sell the same 60-count bottle at $29.99 and $29.97, so a single bottle can be bought without a brand-site subscription.
