What customers consistently report

Those are the themes that recur across the reviews. High review confidence.

Why it might work

Florastor uses a live yeast rather than the bacterial organisms found in most probiotics. That difference matters during an antibiotic course: antibiotics target bacteria, so this yeast can be taken alongside them without being canceled out in the same way. The named CNCM I-745 strain and disclosed milligram amount make the label far more interpretable than a generic multi-species blend, and its shelf stability is practical for travel or a course of treatment. Live yeast still has to pass through the gut and its presence does not guarantee a useful effect. The label also contains lactose from milk and does not state CFU through expiry or disclose third-party testing. Even a studied strain cannot promise the same result in every user, especially without expiry potency or independent testing.

What the research supports

Strain-specific evidence, which is rare. A meta-analysis of 21 trials in 4,780 people found this yeast cut antibiotic-associated diarrhea from 18.7% to 8.5%, and a review of the CNCM I-745 strain specifically covers antibiotic-associated diarrhea and diarrhea duration.

What the label discloses

The organism is disclosed at strain level with the milligram amount per capsule, and the product is shelf-stable with a roughly three-year life. Important label detail: it contains lactose from milk. CFU through expiry and third-party testing are not stated.

Who this tends to suit

We match this product to people reporting loose stools, urgency, irregular bowel habits, general abdominal discomfort and alternating constipation and loose stools. It fits someone whose priority is resetting after a course of antibiotics or an upset or day-to-day comfort. Whether it is the best fit for you depends on the rest of your answers — what you have already tried, what format you will take, and anything that has to be ruled out.

Where it may not fit

The label supports gluten-free. A capsule only works if you will take it as often as the label directs.
